Renovations complete at Family Fitness Center - Parkersburg News
In the past year, the facility has finished renovations on the cardiovascular room as well as televisions and satellite radio for members using the stationary bikes and step machines. In years past, workers have installed rubberized floors, renovated locker rooms and made many exterior improvements to the center. The new swimming pool and pool building projects from 2005 join the converted racquetball court and new elevator projects completed in 2003. Blueprints called for workers to convert the once 40 foot by 40 foot courts into two separate 20 foot by 40 foot rooms, with one room sitting on top of the other. Martin reported that the center saw a 10 percent increase in membership in 2004. The center has around 40 full-time and part-time employees, Martin said. read more
